our house

Hello dear ones, we rent a lovingly renovated half-timbered house in the middle of the nature park Stromberg-Heuchelberg (Baden-Württemberg). It was important to us to keep the character of the half-timbered house from the 18th century but still be able to offer the most modern comfort.

With its unique hut character, our half-timbered house radiates an inviting warmth. Let us inspire you! We are looking forward to your visit.

environment

The house is located in the historical centre of the 956 inhabitant village Schützingen. The village is known for its impressive half-timbered houses and its beautiful landscape. Within walking distance there are 4 inns and a butcher’s shop where high quality products and fresh bread are sold.

Starting from our holiday home, both hiking and cycling paths lead through the beautiful vineyard and forest landscapes. In the immediate vicinity is the well-known UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Maulbronn Monastery. A whole range of leisure activities are on offer, such as the adventure park and game paradise Tripsdrill, the climbing forest Illingen or the natural swimming pool Maulbronn. By car there are many possibilities, for example: the Residence Palace Ludwigsburg (32km), Stuttgart (40km) and its many museums as well as the Black Forest (37km) or Strasbourg in France (96km).

The house is a listed building, which means that everything is lovingly done but does not meet today’s standards. The walls are a bit sloping and tall people have to bend down in some places, it is a unique experience to live in it.
